A traditional activity in the Waldorf Kindergarten is to use natural dyes to decorate silks.
Children love the natural feel of silks and use them for so much imaginative play, including capes, decorations on their puppet play tables and fort building. Help our children to be surrounded by beauty and encouraged in their open ended play by supporting us in buying this real silk. We will work with the children to dye silks in the classroom using natural dyes. Afterwards the children will use their silks in our creative free play time in the classroom.
