I am looking to restock my classroom with resources that will be helpful throughout the year such as supplies for student use, cardstock to create workstations, math manipulatives for small groups, and flexible seating. I have also included storage bins to keep the requested items in great condition. These items will be useful tools to having a successful academic year.
I strive to make STEM resources more accessible to my students so that they can be competitive with their more affluent counterparts.
My mathematicians and scientists are already at a disadvantage just based on their zip code. It is my goal to expose my students to as much math and science as possible. Due to lack of funding and lack of resources, math and science education in inner-city and low-income schools is negatively impacted.
