My students will use these resources for hands on exploration of various STEM concepts. Each student's goals are specifically designed on the IEP. One of my students is medically fragile and requires separate materials that can be used independently. My students have multiple exceptionalities; they need safe, attractive, and hands on materials to develop cognitive skills. Very young children learn best through hands on exploration of materials that are designed to be used for both exploration and direct teaching. Materials that are flexible and can be used in a variety of ways are best for three year olds. Students can design and create their own learning through discovery. The materials I have chosen are specifically designed for very young students and are open ended to develop skills in many areas and at many levels.
