These books will help me develop the cultural-inclusive classroom that I strive to create. They will help in creating and maintaining a community amongst my classroom and school. Many of students are able to relate to these books, whether it's the child on the cover or the story the author has written. The chapter books will allow my class for novel study experiences while the picture books can aide in classroom discussions with a digestible text while still reaching grade level standards. Through these variety of texts, I will be helping to build their love for reading different texts.
