The sensory materials funded will be used creatively in special education lessons and sensory activities to improve each student's attention span and active participation in learning activities. Special education students habituate and become bored using the same materials daily. Using a wide variety of learning materials that incorporate unique physical properties, like magnetism for example encourages student focus and student involvement significantly. As a result, students who are actively involved with creative materials are more likely to complete assignments, self-regulate their behavior in a positive way (thus avoided counter-productive maladaptive behaviors), and thus be happier more productive students who learn more and more daily. Thank You! Dr. Michael Paladino, educator
