My students have a range of disabilities including high functioning autism, hearing impairments, speech and language impairments, and learning disabilities that impact their educational progress. They are all very curious children who love learning about the world around them, but struggle with conventional ways of learning in a large classroom setting at a pace faster than they are able to keep up with. They live in the beautiful state of New Mexico and attend a small group classroom for much of their academics. All of them love using technology to learn and often migrate to the classroom computer for researching their ideas. I've noticed that my students stay actively engaged in their learning when the learning activity involves the use of technology.
