Imagine a class full of 1st graders' eyes lighting up as they each are handed their very own drum to play or a class full of 4th graders who are finally able to play original rhythmic compositions. These instruments will help students experience many different musical concepts such as steady beat, compositions, improvisations, tone color, and instrument technique. Students at our elementary school are innately musical and these instruments would allow them to express themselves and help them develop a greater love for music. New instruments would also help engage students and allow us to have endless fun in music class!
