Scholastic Magazine: Our reading experiences as a class have included lessons from Scholastic magazines (Scope/Action) and have proven useful in helping my students learn about the greater world around them (and their own relation to it), feed and fueling the dreams and aspirations they have for the future. The Scholastic magazines gives my students new information about the topics they know, or want to know and makes learning fun and exciting for all (images, text, and videos are entirely engaging); the children especially enjoy the reward of keeping their own individual copy of Scope/Action to take take home and keep.
I am hoping to find donors to help fund a subscription to Scholastic Action/Scope magazine to provide for every child (180), or at least enough for a class set of 30 hard copy magazines. We don't have the budget for purchasing them this year -and the kids love them.
