The resources I have chosen will help my students grow socially and emotionally. My project includes resources such as social stories, calming tools, and social/emotional board games. These resources will be utilized during my one-on-one check in's, during my social skills small groups and when students need a break due to being angry, sad, etc. My students have faced so much trauma in the short amount of life they have been on Earth and I want to provide them with resources and strategies to help them cope. My goal is to increase their emotional intelligence, help them to make more positive choices and to become successful students/members of society. I am the first school counselor at Grand View, so I have very limited SEL resources. I am forever grateful for any resources you provide to my low income students. Thank you!
