I am a speech language pathologist working with Preschool-6th grade students with speech and language disorders. I currently service 75 students on active IEPs (Individualized Education Program) with a variety of special needs (i.e. articulation delays, receptive and expressive language delays, stuttering, autism, and cognitive delays). We are a high poverty school. Many families in our district are migrant workers and most are limited English speakers. Many of my students have limited attention spans and some need augmentative devices to communicate.
