Each year the students create a self-portrait to capture how they view themselves as they enter a new school year. We display at the beginning of the year in the main hallway for all visitors to see during Open House and fall school events. The portrait is then shared with the parent at the Spring conferences. Each students writes a brief statement of their goals for the year and how they will attain them. A second portrait and statement is gathered at the end of the year. Both portraits will be laminated for capturing the students' self-portraits during the year and into their future as a student within the school and also as a fond memorabilia to capture the essence of their importance within our school community. The laminator preserve the portraits for all of the student body PreK-5 grade. Winning opportunity for all that will be an ongoing project for the school for current year and into the future.
