Our students will be excited to learn about science in many different ways by using premade kits or the supplies on our list. Many of our students are hands-on learners and these items will help engage them. Having interesting activities will also help teachers build their lesson plans. We will also be creating "Science Boxes" that teachers can check out. They will be a stand-alone activity and have all of the needed supplies ready to go. Many of our students have not had exposure to science like their general education peers. These items will help lessen that gap.
Growing seedlings in the early spring and then transplanting them into our raised garden is always a fun experience for our students. They enjoy harvesting veggies in the fall, where they can either eat them raw or cook them in our student kitchen. Students also enjoy bringing some of the plants that they grow home so they can enjoy them with their families.
