These materials will help my students construct a solar panel for our school's greenhouse. The greenhouse has been out of commission for a few years, and my students aspire to get it up and running. They want to grow vegetables that the school can use, and also sell to the community to raise funds for future projects.
The greenhouse will be a place where students can see the fruit of their hard work. Many of these students are graduating in the spring, and I would love for them to see the greenhouse up and running before they graduate. These students genuinely care about this project. The greenhouse will be something students can use for many years to come.
The specific breakdown of how the products will be used are as follows;
Renogy 12 Volt Solar Panel will be used to create electricity to charge the battery.
ZVac Central Vacuum Pipe Tubing is the pipe that will carry the rain barrel to the pump.
Water Diaphragm Self Priming Pump will pump the water.
Garden Hose will help distribute water throughout the greenhouse.
Solar Charge Controller will be used to control the electricity coming from the solar panel to the battery.
Panel Mounting Bracket will be used to mount the solar panel to the greenhouse.
IBC Tote Adapter will be the adapter from the IBC tote (rain barrel) to the vacuum tubing.
PVC Regular Cement and 4-Ounce NSF Purple Primer will be used to glue the PVC piping from the downspout to the IBC tote.
Cable Hookup Electrical Wire LED Strips Extension Wire is wire from solar panel that will be used to solar charge controller and from charge controller to battery.
2-Way PVC Pipe Fitting 90 Degree Elbow will be part of the piping from the downspout to the IBC tote.
