My students are special education students. I have 6 fourth and 8 fifth grade students in my combination special day class. When my students write narratives or do research projects, they have difficulty relating to the topic. They need to see firsthand what they are asked to write about. To capture these firsthand experiences my class needs a digital camera to take pictures and film videos. The photographs and videos will be used when they write their reports and their personal stories. The pictures and videos will also be used in classroom presentations to encourage my students to tell about their experiences.
