To become proficient readers, my students need an abundant amount of exposure to text. Most of my learners have very limited access to books or reading materials at home. Moreover, our school has a meager offering of books as well.
It would be wonderful to provide a nicely stocked library with some leveled readers that can be used for guided reading and home practice. Fabulous picture books are compelling and offer the opportunity for a read aloud to make the book come alive, while immersing the child in a visual feast.
Sturdy bins will be used to organize the reading materials and serve as a colorful marker inviting a child to grab a book and explore!
