This project, Read to Vote for Great Lakes Great Books Awards, will provide students with the confidence to voice their opinion in the library. Students will participate in the Great Lakes Great Books Award during the 2021-2022 school year. This award is sponsored by the Michigan Reading Association. The Great Lakes Great Books Award program gives students the chance to vote for their favorite children's book of the year. Every student at our school will participate in this Michigan sponsored event. During the months of October, November, and December, students will listen to a book nominated for the award every week during library. The books provided by this project will be read aloud to students during the school year. Once all books have been read during library class, students will vote for their favorite. All votes will be submitted to the Michigan Reading Association. We are excited and proud to help select the Great Lakes Great Books Award winners for the 2021-2022 school year.
