In my basic technology classes, students select and operate their own stations. The stations have a wide variety and range from LEGO building/coding to Pixlr photoshopping. We run over 10 stations and the students pick and chose which ones they will run with their partners. The stations hit a variety of our standards for technology, but most importantly, each station provides students a small sample size of that technology world. If they wish to pursue a career or even narrow their pathway as they progress through our 7-12th grade tech classes they do that with the help of the station rotations.
