Sand tray therapy is one of the most researched and recommended ways to help children work through crisis and trauma. Using miniatures of diverse people, food, and various types of animals, my students can create a tray to process their feelings. They can use miniature household objects and dollhouse furniture. They can make their environment. They can use different miniatures to represent the other people in their lives.
They are experiencing changes in their lives constantly. Children often have a difficult time expressing their thoughts and feelings. This is when having a sand tray kit could be so helpful! This will give my students a way to describe the experiences they go through.
