I teach in a Title I school where students come from a very difficult background. If that's not enough, my second graders started school in Covid time.
They need support, structure and basic learning skills reinforcement. This is my goal by acquiring these items. I need a carpet where we can gather every morning in a safe and structured space where we can develop our social emotion skills.
My students are working hard and they deserve to have a little reward or a few free minutes, when they can keep learning while playing with educational games.
Finally, two years with a world pandemic have left some gaps in their learning, tools for a literacy center will be useful to help my second graders to catch up and keep learning at the level they are supposed to be.
