My students live in an urban school district, but that does not mean they should have to share calculators because we do not have enough of them, or suffer through the use of calculators that are damaged, outdated, and not user-friendly. Even when my students know what they need to do, it is often excessively hard for them to figure out where the functions are because our current calculators are so complicated. New calculators would make my students more eager to learn, rather than being discouraged. I can guarantee they would be used on a daily basis.
