It is undeniable the effects laid on my middle school students. The community consists of low-income households with little to no support systems in place. This RTI Reading Strategies elective is assigned for any student that has fallen below the passing requirements of STAAR-Reading. The students are limited in finances and opportunites at this campus. I would like them to use the headphones with mouth pieces to hear audiobooks for proper speech and allow them a chance to record themselves read material to improve their verbal and facial communication skills.
