We are working to create a calming cove for students to be mindful when they are upset. Â Our hope is to provide a safe space with sensory tools. Students can use the soft chairs, and sensory tools to work on their IEP goal of self-regulating their emotions. This helps them to get ready to learn. Â Â
Students in this classroom are working on simple social skills that we use during games. The games are developmentally appropriate and meet students’ needs to work on social skills. Laminating sheets and velcro are also used to make additional games and activities to help students with social skills and sensory needs.
Please help make this environment the best for students.
