Due to the pandemic, my school needs students to be at least 3 feet apart for safety. All of the available tables in the school were given to regular classrooms, so my S.T.E.M. room has been empty since school started and I have been going into classrooms to do my S.T.E.M. lessons. I feel that students should be immersed in what they are learning, so a S.T.E.M. room is the best way to surround them with science. My lessons are engineering centered, so there are lots of materials. This involves carrying these materials all over the building (on two floors), and at times inconveniencing the classroom teacher because they may actually have to leave their own room if my coming in puts them over their room capacity. I would love for classes to be able to come to my classroom so the materials we need are already there, teachers do not have to leave their room, and I do not have to take up classroom teachers' valuable room real estate with my things.
