This collection of Physical Education materials will help all students get active and moving again. The varied types of balls and goals will help modify and adapt activities and games to the needs of students' various ability levels. It will allow better differentiation within a Physical Education setting.
After a very sedentary year and a half, a lot of students need to get off of the couch and start moving again. These items will help allow students with disabilities to join their typical peers in PE class. This will also help address our state PE standards, specifically: 3.5.1 Participate in a variety of moderate to vigorous physical activities. Additionally, PE is the perfect setting for students to practice conflict resolution skills that involve the SEL components of social awareness, relationship skills, self awareness, and self management while playing games or participating in activities in PE.
The importance of moving, playing games, and interacting in person with friends and classmates has become very evident during this pandemic. These materials will allow all students to play and interact with their friends. When I say all, I mean all! It will help students with disabilities and their typical peers they go to PE with!
