These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read on the carpet to them and they read the books independently. All the books chosen will help with mental health and how to adjust in the school setting due to effects of Covid.
With these new books, my students will be able to grow and have more confidence in their education and the world around them.
These books will also help promote the Nevada Academic Content Standards. 1.ME.K.1 Identify different emotions.
1.ME.K.2 List ways a person shows emotions.
SS.1.10 Share stories that illustrate honesty, courage, friendship, respect, and responsibility; have students explain how the stories show these qualities.
SS.1.14 Discuss the importance of culturally, racially, and ethnically diverse people in building a strong and equitable community.
