The primary purpose for me using the device to walk around the classroom is to keep my students actively engaged. I will connect the iPad to my whiteboard and be able to teach my lessons from any position in my classroom. For example, while a student is needing individual attention, I can provide instructions for the rest of my class through the iPad that will be projected onto the whiteboard screen.
I am wanting to have the freedom to walk around my classroom to better serve my 35 learners without having to stand at the front of the classroom for the duration of each lesson. I would also like to utilize the iPads for small group instruction. Opportunities for engagement during small group instruction is important as this is when individualized learning plans are being addressed and needs are being met.
