These SEL and sensory materials will help all of my students achieve competency in the five core competencies of SEAD in Nevada; self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. Due to COVID-19, many of our students are struggling in the SEAD area and are needing significant and explicit teaching in regulation. Throughout the day, we have numerous students that become dis regulated that have large outbursts. With these materials, our students will be able to take a break and stay well regulated, and able to focus on all Nevada content standards in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. By donating to our project, you will help to improve and increase student attention and focus, and also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand. When students are needing a little break or are not regulated, they will have a place to go to quickly regulate and get them back in the right mindset to take on more academic material, meeting more grade-level standards and goals.
