Flexible seating allows students to have the choice of where they feel most comfortable in the classroom to learn. Choosing a letter box from the rug to sit and learn will help my students pay attention and keep a good distance from their friends. Right now, they are sitting in small circles that they cannot see very well and they end up sitting way too close to their peers. The extra manipulatives will help in our literacy and learning centers by separating my students with more space. Learning should be fun and using different activities each week will help keep them interested in gaining more knowledge. They tend to lose focus when doing the same centers every day. It keeps them more engaged.
The chair pockets will help my kindergartners stay organized and have more space on the ground for their feet and to walk. This will help them get up and down moving all over the classroom. Right now, they have to go back and forth to their cubbies bumping into friends and standing close to them.
The products that I have selected will help my students stay engaged and help them be more organized, healthy, and focused on learning without the Covid restrictions hindering their learning.
