iPads and headphones are important for SIP students. Their needs are mostly sensory based and by giving them a way to shut out the everyday noises and distractions of the school environment, they are able to settle and concentrate on learning.
Social Intervention Program is a unique program which allows students with moderate to severe disabilities to receive specialized support which these students require while simultaneously gearing them up for being integrated into the general education classroom.
All students, regardless of severity of disability, deserve the opportunity to learn and grow. Giving students different ways to grasp learning concepts enables them to fully have a chance to move up grade levels along with their age group.
