COVID affected our Title I school in a huge way. One of our biggest problems as math teachers is trying to close the skill gaps while simultaneously teaching what we need to teach for the lesson. Effectively getting thru enough problems during classtime to make sure everyone takes something away from class. Our students have learning gaps and it is even more important that we get thru a number of problems effectively in a quick turn around time.
These tools allow us to get thru more problems during classtime, meaning that we can reach more students and simultaneously cover the skill gaps we see in math! We use the boards to do our problems in class and show the answers visually. We practice, we make mistakes, and we learn!!!!
