Year after year, the supplies needed in the classroom are always dry erase markers and erasers. Parents spend a high amount on these items. During the school year, we can go through 200 to 400 markers. Parents are required to provide anywhere from four to eight markers a year for their child and many parents bring more when I need them. The cost per package could be $8 and up, I want to save my parents money. Boogie boards are reusable. They are a fun way to do reading, writing and math in the classroom. I will be able to give students immediate feedback on our lessons that will be aligned with the Nevada Academic Content Standards. These boogie boards will replace the use of dry erase boards and markers and writing on paper, too! These boogie boards will be highly engaging for the students and there are over 50,000 erases on the board per battery. Therefore, these boogie boards will most likely be used for many years to come, benefiting many students and their families. A classroom that uses technology to make learning easier and fun for the students and the teacher uses less time devoted to finding materials for her students. If a lesson requires whiteboards and dry erase markers, often the teacher is locating or handing out a new marker to a student because it dried out. Students get in a hurry, and they often leave their caps off their markers, or they do not put it on completely, and at the end of the day, the marker is dried out and needs to be replaced. Boogie boards can change that in the classroom; instead, it becomes a classroom that is highly productive with student learning. Please help me create a boogie board
