It's no secret that our students were not able to learn to their fullest potential during the COVID shut down and into distance learning. Many of the third grade students haven't been in a class room since first grade. As a result they have fallen behind in their math and social skills.
Students will use the Legos and games to help learn and reinforce many math and SEL concepts that we cover in third grade. The Legos will be used as manipulatives for different concepts such as: multiplication with arrays, fractions, area and perimeter. Whereas the games will work on students' SEL needs, while working together to play and solve solutions. The various Nevada Academic Content Standards covered are: Math 3.OA.A-B; 3.NF.A; 3.MD.C; Personal Health (3) 1.1-1.4
Using games and Legos will encourage and motivate my students to learn and believe in themselves while reaching their fullest potential.
About my class
