If math facts are cemented in their brains with a strong foundation the sky is the limit on the creativity & problem solving happening in our classroom. Understanding how to generate and manipulate numbers made easy through everyday play. Using math standards: 4.0A.A.1 Operations & Algebraic Thinking along with 4.0A.A.3 Operations & Algebraic Thinking [using the four operations with whole numbers to solve problems] my students will be more successful as we fill in the gaps of learning that many students have. Math facts are critical to moving forward when generating all four math operations.
