These students are trying figure out how to learn in constantly changing environments. We are very fortunate to finally be able to return to full-time, in-person learning! Everyday, we are learning not only math and literacy, but also how to build stamina, persevere, and be our best self. However, there is something I've noticed since being back in the classroom....the kiddos are wiggle worms.
Sometimes, students just need to move around a little bit while they learn! And these chairs are just the thing they need to satisfy that desire to MOVE!
When students are asked to share, I see so many of them start to move their torsos and hips as they think and formulate what they are going to say. Instead of trying to extinguish that need to move, it is time to embrace it!
