Classroom libraries should never be scarce. I want to provide a classroom library full of adventure and wonder and experience for my students so they can borrow a book that has no grade or assignment attached and catch the reading bug, the only bug we want to see spreading around our halls. I regularly see students come back to the classroom library once they truly find their love of reading. They'll use these materials to connect to what we learn in class, and more importantly, they'll be building their vocabulary and their comprehension on their own simply by falling in love with a good book...and a book that is written by someone who looks like them. #blackbooksmatter #representationmatters #readingforfunmatters.
