The recent pandemic has made a huge impact on student learning. Students are behind in all areas, but especially in Math at our school site. Students are thirsty now more than ever for hands-on activities in the classroom. With multiplication learning wrap ups, flash cards, multiplication tables and boards, bingo and other games, students are guaranteed to find a strategy that will work for them! It is absolutely critical for students to learn their multiplication facts right now because 5th grade Math highly depends on it. I want to ensure my students master these skills before moving on to the next grade level! Whether students are learning from the classroom, from home or need assistance with homework, these much needed Math manipulatives can be used from any location! For example, every student will receive their own set of flash cards and multiplication charts. These items will be used in the classroom with partners, in a group setting or at home for extra assistance. No matter the setting, they will be used daily! I can see it now, Multiplication Madness time! On Monday, it's learning wrap ups! On Tuesday, multiplication bingo! On Wednesday, multiplication board activities, On Thursday, flash card practice and on Friday, multiplication games! Now that sounds like lots of multiplication madness! These daily hands-on, fun activities will ensure multiplication mastery in all students!
