On the Same Page! Book Club will create a graphic novel reading-focused community where all students are welcome. Being a part of a community of readers will help students overcome the feelings of isolation they may be experiencing. The books we read together will help students process the experience of the pandemic, build resiliency, and provide new perspectives.
Reading about other young people who have shown flexibility in adversity, can help them see their own situation in new ways. They can also take a break from reality and immerse themselves in a new and different world. Sharing these reading experiences with other students can improve emotional well-being, relieve stress, and remind teens they are not alone.
