Introducing the design and creation of models to beginning robotics students is a key point in their learning the topic. Many of the students have already built many of the commercially available robot sets. But what they haven't done is used their creativity and imagination to design and build a robot outside of a preplanned set.
By using the craft sets and common household items, the students will design and build both individualized robots and group robots.
Then they can take them apart and upgrade their very own ideas, not just one they bought at the store. These projects will allow their creativity and imagination to spring to life and grow. They will practice using collaboration skills to create group designed robots.
