The ability to read is the most fundamental skill for children to develop. As a first grade classroom teacher, I have the awesome opportunity of teaching and watching children develop into master readers. Each and every day I prioritize my students’ literacy needs by using leveled readers designed to meet the needs of students at varying reading levels.
To love reading we first have to learn to read. Currently, our readers are in rough shape. After years of constant daily use these books are tired and worn out.
My project proposal is to purchase a Classroom Library for my class so I can start the process of retiring old, worn out books and replacing them with fresh leveled readers for my students to enjoy.
Your donation would go a long way for my literacy instruction and would benefit some kids who especially need the support. Thank you for your consideration.
STANDARDS:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.1.4.C

Sincerely,
Mrs. Vasquez
