These activities will give the kindergarten students the opportunity to problem solve using hands on materials. Students tend to be more successful when they have a hands on approach to learning. As the world becomes more and more technology based it is crucial to teach students how to problem solve. These kits would work perfect addition to our classroom because so many of them can be used during center time and are set up for small groups. There are so many great STEM activities out there and I think these would be a great addition to growing our science curriculum.
Standards addressed :
K-2-ETSI -2 Develop a simple sketch, drawing, or physical model to illustrate how the shape of an object helps it function as needed to solve a given problem.
K- PS.2.1 Plan and conduct an investigation to compare the effects of different strengths or different directions of pushes and pulls on the motion of an object.

About my class
