I will be teaching my Kindergarteners ways to hold, pass and dribble basketballs to help teach them fine motor skills. The students in first through sixth grades will continue to expand those fine motor skills through shooting baskets with activities like games of horse or lightning or actual basketball games which will teach passing the ball to other students.
The students will learn team collaboration skills that can help them succeed in team relations at home, school, or future endeavors. I know that basketball can help grow students minds through team coordination, along with goods sportsmanship.
