Because of the different type of year we have had, many of my students do not have the literacy background needed to increase their comprehension. The access to the reading materials will provide information that is both current and relevant in their lives. Because these are geared toward kids, their interest in the subjects presented increase and therefore their language acquisition.
By providing these magazines for my students, they can have access to reading materials that is interesting to them. When my students are interested in a subject, they become an expert. We are a Title I school and many students have limited access to reading material, this will give them a chance to have the same access as others in the classroom.
About my class
