After a year of learning remotely, students are excited to get back into the classroom. I have noticed that students are having a tough time staying in their seats and need more frequent wiggle breaks to focus on the task at hand. Alternative seating options will allow students to move and get their wiggles out while focusing their attention to the lesson.
Alternative seating and lighting options will have a tremendous impact on my classroom. I have distance students and in person students. When I turn the lights off in my classroom for my in person students, my distance students struggle to see. Having lamps would eliminate this issue, specifically during math.
