Last year students had to listen to this book on Youtube. Actually having the book in hand allows for a deeper understanding of the text and allows them to use the illustrations to help make meaning of the text. Actually being able to go into the text allows for a deeper understanding of the concepts being taught. Students will use this text to answer DOK 3 and 4 questions, which will help them prepare for middle school. This will give my classroom a class set of this text to be used in the future.

About my class
