Since returning to the building I am trying to engage my students as much as possible. In the kitchens, we spend a lot of time working on cooking projects, getting to know one another better, and increase our social skills.
With the reopening of schools and the mandatory Chromebooks, right now the students are having a hard time holding/working with their technology in the kitchens. They struggle with where to place it and how to position it so it stays clean and out of the way.
Computer stands like these will give the students a safe area to place their technology while still working in the kitchen. My classroom is a place where students can be themselves and work together on their cooking projects and this will give them one less thing to worry about.
