(NACS - Library Standards = INQUIRE 1.C.3) Being back in person with students in the library this year has shown me how much my students have missed authentic, library experiences. The materials I chose (books, crayons, paper) will allow my 4th and 5th graders to jump back into reading with this year's NV Young Reader student-nominated books, as well as create and share written and illustrated projects to accompany the books upon completion. Projects surrounding the NV Young Reader books are something my students look forward to every year as they are books nominated and voted on by students. I'm certain this will create excitement in the library!
