The lights will be used to grow the seeds in vertically stacked treys as students study photosynthesis, water and energy conservation, and the scientific method. Teaching the scientific method, having materials to test hypothesis, and disseminating the knowledge of how to grow indoors in urban settings will give my students the strategies they need to develop workplace skills
Indoor vertical farming uses 90% less water and 90% less fertilizer than traditional farming. These supplies will be used for indoor vertical farming in the classroom.
