Spaces for student supplies are important for classroom organization, and for students to have a safe place to store learning artifacts and other items. For students to stay organized, a place for activity sheets, journals, in-progress assignments, writing instruments, and personal items is essential. It would be easier to support the government mandated protocols for protecting students against Covid-19 with masks and maintaining six feet of separation, if the students had an individualized place for their belongings. Also, since my students are all considered to be "at-risk," any confusion due to a lack of organization can cause a student to escalate behaviors.
