The past few years with school closures and distance learning has made learning difficult for some students. Many of them desire to meet their reading and math goals but we could use resources to make our guided reading and small groups more effective.
In class, we are working on bridging gaps in our reading levels and encouraging students to read aloud and more fluently.
We will use the whisper phones and timers to read our fluency passages and grow in fluency levels. We will use the file folders to create fluency bins so students at various levels can select passages to read on their own.
Our flash cards will serve to help students that need help with their facts. They will be able to quiz each other and time themselves on facts.
Overall, the goal is to give students the opportunity to meet their goals, play a role in their education growth and improve our classroom.
