The students will benefit from RI8.1-Cite the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. This will allow students to answer pull inferences from the texxt & cite their information to support their inference.
Also, they will be working on W.8.1-Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence. They will be to use the information in the artticle to support their side of their argument in their writing. They will also be able to use this information for W.8.2 which dealsm with informative/explanatory writing.
